Job Summary
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Active Directory security;
Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2005, and 2012;
Deep understanding of VMWare ESX and ESXi;
Clear understanding of VMWare vCenter including patching, migration, template creation, VMTools installation and updating, monitoring, and VMGuest tuning;
Clear understanding of VMWare networking including distributed switches, vLans, virtual NICs, and NIC Bonding;
Setting up and managing VMWare DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) and VMWare SRM (Site Recovery Manager);
Clear and fluid technical writing skills;
A good understanding of project management software;
Remote access and remote management for server hardware, Microsoft Windows Server products, and VMWare.
Understanding of Hyper-V is a must
Should be well verse with PlateSpin and or other migration tools.
Conceptual understanding of Storage, Network and security.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure Timely Resolution And Quality Compliance Of Escalated Tickets And Incidents Through In-Depth Analysis Of Microsoft Hyper-V, Scvmm, And Sccm Configurations, Adhering To Agreed Service Level Agreements.
2. Mentor Team Members And Administrators In Best Practices For Microsoft Hyper-V And Sccm Operations, While Preparing Standard Operating Procedures And Maintaining Comprehensive Documentation For Knowledge Sharing.
3. Validate Change Order Implementation Plans And Assess Human Error Compliance, Actively Participating In Capacity Planning Activities To Optimize Resource Allocation.
4. Engage In Customer Meetings To Actively Address And Resolve Issues, Ensuring Positive Feedback And High Satisfaction Levels Through Effective Communication And Problem-Solving.
5. Conduct Thorough Analyses, Including Root Cause Analysis And Trend Analysis, And Prepare Detailed Reports To Present Findings And Recommendations To Key Business Stakeholders.
