Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Assistant Manager/Manager with expertise in foundry casting procurement and supplier management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, supplier development, procurement planning, cost optimization, quality coordination, and ensuring timely availability of foundry castings to support production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of foundry investment castings (Grey Iron, Ductile Iron, Steel, and other casting components).
- Develop, evaluate, and manage foundry suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and on-time delivery.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply base.
- Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Stores to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternate sourcing, and process improvements.
- Resolve supplier quality issues in collaboration with Quality Assurance and supplier teams.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, technical specifications, and statutory requirements.
- Analyze demand forecasts and prepare procurement plans to optimize inventory and working capital.
- Conduct supplier audits, capacity assessments, and periodic performance reviews.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, and MIS reports.
- Support new product development by coordinating sourcing and supplier readiness.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of foundry casting manufacturing processes and materials.
- Expertise in supplier development and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
- Knowledge of procurement planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysis is preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
