"Job Description: Sr. Test Engineer – Murex 3.1 (Treasury & Capital Markets) Location: India (Global Delivery Center) Industry: Banking / Capital Markets Experience: 4–6 Years Role Objective As a Sr. Test Engineer for Murex 3.1, you will be responsible for the functional validation of a full-scale Treasury platform migration and implementation. You will ensure the integrity of the trade lifecycle—from deal capture to settlement—within the Murex ecosystem. This role requires a specialist who can navigate the complexities of both conventional and Sharia-compliant (Islamic) treasury products specifically tailored for the UAE and wider GCC markets. Key Responsibilities 1. Murex Functional Validation • Perform end-to-end functional testing on Murex 3.1, focusing on front-to-back office workflows and risk management. • Validate trade capture, valuation, and life-cycle management for FX Derivatives (Options, NDFs) and Interest Rate Derivatives (Swaps, Caps/Floors). • Oversee the testing of Fixed Income and Money Market modules, ensuring accurate accruals and cash flow generation. 2. Specialized UAE Market Expertise • Lead the testing of Islamic Treasury Products used in the UAE, including Murabaha, Sukuk (Islamic Bonds), and Wa’ad (Islamic FX). • Ensure the accounting entries and profit-sharing logic align with Sharia compliance and the bank's internal Sharia board requirements. • Validate localized UAE market conventions, including specific holiday calendars and regional currency settlement rules. 3. Trade Lifecycle & Reporting • Verify Murex output including GOM (Generic Operating Model) workflows, contract confirmations, and settlement instructions. • Test the accuracy of Market Risk and Credit Risk limits within Murex. • Validate regulatory and management reports required by UAE-based financial institutions. 4. Execution & Defect Management • Develop and execute complex test cases based on Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications (FSD). •
