Key Areas of Focus
- Guest Room Systems: Keeping lighting, AC units, TVs, and bathroom fixtures operational and resolving guest-reported issues swiftly.
- Back-of-House Equipment: Maintaining electricals for kitchens, laundry, elevators, and mechanical systems (HVAC).
- Building Infrastructure: Servicing distribution boards (DBs), switchgear, MCCs, and low-voltage networks.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards for all electrical installations.
Types of Maintenance
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Regular inspections and servicing to prevent failures (e.g., checking circuit breakers).
- Corrective/Breakdown Maintenance: Responding to and fixing faults as they occur (e.g., a guest room blackout).

Responsibilities of Hotel Electricians/Engineers
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing and fixing electrical faults across the property.
- Installation & Assembly: Setting up new electrical equipment and systems.
- Testing & Inspection: Ensuring all systems function correctly and safely.
- Record Keeping: Documenting maintenance activities and reports.
- Coordination: Working with housekeeping, front office, and external contractors.
