We are looking for a meticulous and seasoned e-commerce business accountant to become part of our vibrant team. In this position, you will be tasked with managing and supervising the financial operations of our expanding e-commerce business, ensuring the precision and integrity of all financial records. The ideal applicant will have a robust understanding of e-commerce platforms, inventory management, and financial reporting tailored to online retail. It is essential to be well-acquainted with ad management tools such as Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google, Snap Inc. (Snapchat), X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Pinterest, as well as the functionalities of ROAS, ROI, POAS, ACoS, MER, and other similar metrics. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to deliver insightful financial analysis and guidance, facilitating data-driven decision-making that propels business growth. This role demands a proactive stance in identifying financial risks and opportunities, while also ensuring adherence to all pertinent tax regulations and accounting standards. Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations and close processes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and statements for management review to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze e-commerce transactions and inventory to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and e-commerce-specific financial reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast budgets, track expenses, and optimize profitability.
- Conduct audits and assist with external audit processes to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
