Job Title: AVP /Senior Manager – Credit Risk

Role Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead credit risk strategy, policy framework, and digital decisioning architecture. This role will owe the Business Rules Engine (BRE), drive end-to-end credit process digitization, and ensure scalable, data-driven lending decisions aligned with business growth and risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Risk Strategy & Policy Leadership
- Define and implement credit risk policies, underwriting frameworks, and risk appetite
- Lead decision-making across LAP /Retail / MSME / Unsecured lending portfolios
- Balance growth, approval rates, and portfolio quality at a strategic level
- Work closely with leadership on risk strategy and portfolio expansion
2. BRE / Decision Engine Ownership
- Own end-to-end Business Rules Engine (BRE) strategy and governance
- Translate credit policies into rule-based decision logic & workflows
- Drive rule optimization, champion-challenger strategies, and A/B testing
- Oversee rule deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
3. Digitization & Automation (Core Focus)
- Lead end-to-end digitization of credit lifecycle (origination to disbursal)
- Drive LOS (Loan Origination System) & LMS integration with decision engines
- Increase STP (Straight Through Processing) and reduce manual underwriting
- Improve TAT, scalability, and customer journey through automation
4. Portfolio Risk & Analytics
- Monitor portfolio health, delinquency trends .
- Use data insights to refine policies, rules, and risk segmentation
- Drive data-backed decision-making and reporting to leadership
5. Fraud Risk & Compliance
- Strengthen fraud detection frameworks using rule-based controls
- Ensure compliance with RBI / NBFC regulations and audit requirements
- Implement proactive risk mitigation strategies
6. Stakeholder & Team Management
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, Data, and Business teams
- Drive Relationship with CIC and other relevant external stakeholder
- Act as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience in Credit Risk / Underwriting (Fintech / NBFC / Bank)
- Strong hands-on experience in BRE / Decision Engine (must-have)
- Proven experience in credit policy design & digital lending
- Deep understanding of LOS / LMS systems and integrations
- Strong knowledge of credit bureau data (CIBIL, Experian, etc.)
- Experience in portfolio risk management & analytics
Key KRAs / Success Metrics:
- Increase in automation (STP %) and reduction in TAT
- Improvement in approval vs risk balance
- Strong portfolio quality (controlled delinquency / NPA levels)
- Effective BRE performance & rule optimization
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
