Job Title: Field Technician – Electronic Security Systems
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Field Technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of Electronic Security Systems at customer sites. This role requires frequent field visits, strong technical knowledge, and a customer-focused approach to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Commissioning
- Install, configure, test, and commission Electronic Security Systems.
- Perform site surveys and support project implementation activities.
- Ensure installations are completed according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct testing and verification of systems before handover.
Service & Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Attend service calls and troubleshoot system faults.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and communication-related issues.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment and components.
- Ensure timely closure of service requests and customer complaints.
Technical Support
- Provide on-site technical support and user training.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and OEMs for issue resolution.
- Support system upgrades, expansions, and modifications.
- Conduct post-repair testing and performance verification.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and site visit reports.
- Maintain records of installed, serviced, and replaced equipment.
- Update management on site status, pending issues, and material requirements.
- Follow safety procedures and customer site compliance requirements.
Customer Coordination
- Interact professionally with customers and site representatives.
- Explain technical issues and corrective actions clearly.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA Systems, VDP, Intrusion Alarm, Time Attendance, and BMS systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and system integration.
- Familiarity with installation tools and testing equipment.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site visits.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access Control, or BMS systems will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and servicing of Electronic Security Systems.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and strong practical knowledge may also apply.
Working Conditions
- Field-based role requiring regular travel to customer locations.
- May require travel across assigned regions and locations.
- Availability for emergency breakdown support, after-hours, or weekend work when required.
