Role: Specialist, Technology Support (Data Quality)
Pearson Professional Assessments is seeking a Specialist, Data Quality to join our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, supporting the exam result lifecycle at Pearson VUE. This role is based at our India office and offers the opportunity to collaborate with global teams, working at the intersection of data integrity, technology, and client support.
Role Overview
As a Specialist, Data Quality, you will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and resolving issues related to the processing of exam result data from Pearson VUE’s worldwide network of testing centers. You will follow established protocols, collaborate with EDM and technology staff to address challenges, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage the upload of exam result data from testing centers.
Identify and resolve issues related to exam result processing, working in an exciting environment that encourages learning and development.
Troubleshoot and retransmit problematic data to clients as needed, responding to special client requests with professionalism and accuracy.
Report data processing problems to appropriate teams for swift resolution.
Investigate missing exam results and prioritize actions based on customer urgency and business impact.
Provide technical support to both internal and external customers for queries regarding results and data transfer.
Provide technical support to clients on Pearson VUE applications utilized.
Collaborate across teams to resolve issues, escalating as needed.
Support additional projects and perform ad hoc tasks assigned by your manager.
Work flexibly with international colleagues across multiple time zones.
What We’re Looking For
Curious, motivated, and eager to learn—with a positive, can-do attitude.
3–5 years’ experience in customer service or a related field, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic SQL skills are a plus.
Ability to thrive in a virtual, globally distributed team environment.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
Quick to learn new systems and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience using support tools (e.g., Service Direct) preferred.
Working Arrangements
This position is hybrid based role being on site at the Pearson VUE office in India and partially working from home.
