Job Summary:
The Senior GSA (Guest Service Associate) – Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house sections. The role includes supervising junior housekeeping associates, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining hotel cleanliness as per SOP standards.
Key Responsibilities:Room Cleaning & Maintenance
- Ensure proper cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas.
- Inspect rooms before guest check-in to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure room amenities, linen, and supplies are properly placed.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or repairs immediately to the concerned department.
Team Supervision
- Guide and supervise junior GSA housekeeping staff during shifts.
- Allocate daily work assignments and ensure timely completion.
- Train new housekeeping associates on cleaning procedures and hotel standards.
- Monitor grooming, discipline, and performance of housekeeping staff.
Guest Service
- Respond promptly to guest housekeeping requests.
- Ensure guest complaints are handled professionally and resolved quickly.
- Maintain guest privacy, confidentiality, and safety standards.
Inventory & Linen Management
- Monitor housekeeping inventory, cleaning chemicals, linen, and guest supplies.
- Ensure proper handling of linen and avoid wastage or damage.
- Maintain stock records and coordinate replenishment requirements.
Hygiene & Safety
- Follow hotel hygiene, sanitation, and safety SOPs.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness standards as per hotel guidelines and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Graduate / Hotel Management Diploma preferred.
- Experience of 3–5 years in Housekeeping Department in hotel industry.
- Good knowledge of housekeeping SOPs, room cleaning standards, and guest handling.
- Leadership and team management skills.
