Purpose of the Role
1. Support the Engineer in executing the manufacturing functions of sheet metal to produce and supply components of superior quality and quantity at minimum cost and in committed time schedule to meet the manufacturing function objectives
2. Ensure On time Move Transaction, Bar code swiping, eliminating waiting time, reduce part preparation time and providing suggestions for improvement
3. Produce and deliver the part on time with zero defects
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Continuous improvement processes by reducing a setup time and cost of tooling, Process consumables to reduce cost of production
Facilitate internal customer satisfaction by working towards improving efficiency and productivity in operations
Work on timely completion of customer complaint analysis and closure the same with error proof
Collect the BOM parts from stores and Verify with router & MTS for operation.
Verify the part identification and part quantities are received as per shown in the Router
Awareness on Rivet Squeezer, Sealant Mixing Machines specification,Tools (Snaps, Csk Cutter) and Fixture setting knowledge
Awareness on Bonding, Sealant application. Heli coil and Bush Pressing knowledge
Awareness on Process Consumable specification, Self life and Expiry details
Aware on checking the fixtures are issued as per respective "J" No as mention in the MTS
Awareness on sub assembly loading tool as per tool setup sheet
Study the MTS, Operation sheets, work instruction and tools before Start the operation.
Process time reduction
Awareness on GD & T Knowledge.
Aware on Self inspection for critical parameters as per mentioned in MTS by filling SIR report with respective calibrated instruments
Ensure that the measuring instruments are in good condition.
Ensure that finished products match with the router quantity and quality
Ensure that each part is separately stacked in 3C Container or VCI Paper or packing instruction as per MTS
Record the process details through the Sub Assembly log register & Work order.
Responsible for finishing the job and move to next stage and ERP
Achieve OLE of more than 90 percentage as planned
Aware on raising the TAG if the part get rejection or rework
Achieve the FAI, production target ,daily plan vs actual
Ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations
Ensure lubrication of machines and ensure their proper working condition
Aware on 5s Activities.
Every month implemented kaizen and 5S activities
Ensure adherence to TQM initiatives
Ensure adherence to Business Excellence processes in all activities related to the section
Identify potential areas of process improvements and implement it in co-ordination with team
Work with automation team for SMART factory implementation through transformation & INDUSTRY 4.0 techniques
Work with strict adherence to set processes and encourage low cost automation techniques
Suggest and use of the latest technologies and tools for all activities within section department
Train apprentice trainees on section process to ensure defect free products
