We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Handling: Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats during examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and minor medical interventions.
Clinical Support: Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with physical exams, drawing blood, placing catheters, taking radiographs, and administering medications.
Ward Maintenance: Monitor hospitalized, recovering, or boarding animals; feed, walk, and clean cages/kennels to maintain strict hygiene and low-stress standards.
Laboratory & Pharmacy: Prepare laboratory samples (fecal, blood, urine) for in-house testing or external reference labs; accurately fill prescriptions and assist with pharmacy inventory.
Client Communication: Greet pet owners, gather patient histories, explain discharge instructions, and provide compassionate customer service both in-person and over the phone.
Facility Upkeep: Sterilize surgical instruments, maintain clean exam and treatment rooms, and ensure general hospital areas are sanitary and fully stocked.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum [1–2+] years of experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting (small animal experience required).
Skills: Proficient in low-stress animal handling and restraint techniques; strong understanding of veterinary terminology, basic pharmacology, and medical equipment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary technician certification (CVT, RVT, LVT) or enrollment in a vet tech program is a strong plus.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for animal welfare.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and safely lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
