- We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Estimation Engineer with expertise in instrumentation and control systems. The person will be responsible for preparing competitive, accurate, and viable technical-commercial proposals for instrumentation packages (field instruments, control systems such as PLC / DCS / SCADA, and safety systems) in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects or system sales. This role bridges the gap between sales, engineering, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer RFQs, tender documents, P&IDs, and other technical specifications to understand the instrumentation scope.
- Develop techno-commercial proposals: define system architecture, select instrumentation (e.g., transmitters, sensors, analyzers), control systems, and safety systems.
- Prepare engineering deliverables: instrument data sheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, logic diagrams, material take-offs, etc.
- Estimate cost and man-hours: coordinate with procurement and design teams, gather vendor quotations, evaluate techno-commercial offers.
- Clarify technical and commercial doubts with clients.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience: 1–2 years in proposal / estimation.
- Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation and control systems: pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters; control valves; PLC/DCS/SCADA; safety systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
