Job Title: Assistant Manager – Logistics

Profile Overview
The Assistant Manager – Logistics will be responsible for overseeing the complete export and shipping process, including coordination with freight forwarders and ensuring timely dispatch of goods. The role involves preparation, verification, and management of export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Origin, ensuring strict compliance with international trade regulations. The position also requires strategic planning, negotiation, and efficient execution of logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end export operations from order processing to final dispatch.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders for shipment bookings and execution.
- Prepare and verify export documentation including invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, and other statutory documents.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers, customs agents, transporters, marketing team, and plant operations for smooth workflow.
- Monitor shipment tracking and ensure timely delivery.
- Handle negotiations with logistics vendors for cost optimization.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of logistics activities.
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in handling export operations.
- Preference for candidates from the textile or apparel industry.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Business / Logistics or related field.
- Graduate Diploma in Export Logistics (preferred).
Age Criteria
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and export procedures.
- Proficiency in Busy, Tally, and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Good understanding of Incoterms and cargo tracking systems.
- Excellent coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation management ability.
Salary
- ₹40,000 – ₹45,000 per month
