Senior Financial Analyst -Corp. Accounting and SEC Reporting
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger records, including preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities. This role also requires ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies and accounting procedures, while identifying opportunities to improve existing processes. A significant part of the role involves supporting audit and reporting requirements, including providing documentation for external audits, responding to audit inquiries, and assisting with 10-K and 10-Q tie-outs. The position also includes technical accounting support in areas such as stock-based compensation entries, equity reconciliations, VAT journal postings, and revenue contract review support.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain accurate general ledger records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures; recommend improvements for Fluence.
- Support external audits by providing documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Regional Accounting teams to optimize processes.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
- Assist in ongoing process improvements within Corporate Accounting and Technical Accounting.
- Good understanding of tock based compensation entries and equity reconciliation
- Good understanding of the VAT Journal posting
- Assist in 10K and 10Q tie outs
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- 3-5 year’s accounting experience preferably involving a mix of public accounting and industry.
- Qualified/ Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant or bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting.
- Strong understanding of month end close and accounting concepts and financial reporting areas.
- Self-motivated and self-directed, as well as possessing strong time management and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge and skill with Excel and the ability to automate tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Chartered Accountant preferred
- Good understanding of Lease Accounting
- Good understanding of accounting standards and US GAAP especially ASC 606
- A good knowledge/ implementation experience of AI into Finance will be an added advantage
- Shared Service or COE/GCC experience preferred.
