About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, statutory compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain ledgers, cash books, and bank books.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management reports.
- Assist in preparing profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Support budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
3. Payroll & Compliance
- Assist in payroll processing and salary reconciliation.
- Ensure statutory compliance related to GST, TDS, ESI, PF, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on payments.
- Process vendor invoices and supplier payments.
- Maintain records of outstanding liabilities and receivables.
5. Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain organized financial files and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, ESI, PF, and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime.
- Good understanding of payroll processing.
- Ability to prepare MIS reports.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
