An Echo/TMT (Echocardiography and Treadmill Test) technician performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, monitors patient vital signs, and assists cardiologists in evaluating heart function.
Patient Preparation and Care
- Explain the ECHO and TMT procedures clearly to patients to ease anxiety.
- Prepare and position patients, which includes attaching ECG electrodes for treadmill stress tests and echocardiograms.
- Monitor patient vital signs—such as heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG rhythms—continuously during stress tests.
- Watch for signs of patient distress or discomfort and stop the test or notify a doctor immediately if needed.
Testing and Operation
- Conduct 2D Echocardiograms and related ultrasound studies to capture clear images of heart structures.
- Operate the treadmill testing equipment according to standardized clinical protocols.
- Ensure proper calibration, operation, and basic maintenance of ultrasound and cardiac monitoring machines.
- Record, store, and label digital diagnostic images accurately.
Reporting and Collaboration
- Compile preliminary test data and findings for review by attending cardiologists.
- Highlight critical or abnormal test results to the medical staff right away.
- Maintain detailed logs, patient records, and hospital documentation.
- Adhere to strict hospital safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
Pay: ₹10,638.30 - ₹32,693.08 per month
