About the Role
We are looking for a skilled InstallShield Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in application packaging, installer development, and automation scripting. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing InstallShield projects to support software deployment and release management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain InstallShield installer packages for Windows-based applications.
- Build and manage application packaging solutions for enterprise software deployments.
- Create and enhance installation workflows, custom actions, and deployment configurations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
- Troubleshoot installation, deployment, and packaging-related issues.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and release management teams to ensure smooth software delivery.
- Perform testing and validation of installation packages across different environments.
- Maintain documentation related to packaging processes, installer configurations, and deployment procedures.
Required Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in InstallShield development and application packaging.
- Strong hands-on experience in building and maintaining InstallShield projects.
- Experience with application packaging and software deployment processes.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
- Good understanding of Windows operating systems, registry, services, and installer technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting installation and deployment issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MSI/MSIX packaging.
- Knowledge of software release and deployment management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and automation tools.
- Experience working in enterprise software environments.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bengaluru, Karnataka (Bengaluru Urban District): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
