Job Summary
Job Title: Senior VB.NET Developer (Individual Contributor) Role Summary We are looking for a strong VB.NET Individual Contributor who can independently design, build, and deliver end‑to‑end features . The ideal candidate is hands‑on, technically solid, and comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, high‑quality solutions.This role requires ownership mindset, minimal supervision, and the ability to drive features from requirement understanding design development testing deployment support . Key Responsibilities Own and deliver end‑to‑end application features using VB.NET and .NET Framework/.NET Work directly with business users and product stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutionsTranslate business requirements into technical designs, estimates, and implementation plans Design, develop, test, and maintain VB.NET applications (desktop/web/services as applicable)Perform code reviews , refactoring, and performance tuning to ensure quality and maintainabilityCollaborate with cross‑functional teams (QA, Support, Infra, DB) to ensure smooth releasesDebug production issues and provide root‑cause analysis and permanent fixes Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to coding and security standardsAct as a go‑to individual contributor for complex problem solving and feature ownership Required Skills & Experience Strong hands‑on experience with VB.NET and .NET Framework / .NET Solid experience with SQL Server , including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuningExperience with ASP.NET / Windows Services / Desktop applications (based on project needs)Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) and design principlesExperience working in enterprise applications with production support exposureAbility to independently drive work with minimal guidance Business & Communication Skills Proven ability to interact directly with business stakeholders Strong requirement‑gathering, analysis, and clarification skillsAbility to explain technical concepts in simple business‑friendly language Comfortable challenging requirements and suggesting better technical approaches Nice to Have Experience with modernization or legacy system enhancement Exposure to C#, Web APIs, REST services , or system integrationsFamiliarity with Agile / DevOps ways of workingExperience working in manufacturing / enterprise IT environments What We’re Looking For Strong individual contributor mindset (not a people‑manager role)Ownership, accountability, and bias for actionAbility to handle ambiguity and drive clarityQuality‑focused, pragmatic, and business‑oriented developer
