Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced Fundraiser to join our team at Auxilium Skills Academy. The Fundraiser will play a crucial role in securing financial resources and partnerships to support the Academy’s programs and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fundraising techniques, relationship-building, and donor stewardship, and will be committed to advancing the mission of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and development team to create and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet the financial goals of the Academy.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from a variety of sources, including individual donors, corporations, foundations, and government grants.
- Grant Writing & Proposal Development:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities and funding programs that align with the Academy’s mission.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals, ensuring they meet all funders’ requirements and deadlines.
- Donor Cultivation & Stewardship:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors and sponsors.
- Regularly communicate with donors through thank-you letters, newsletters, impact reports, and special events.
- Ensure the timely acknowledgment and recognition of donor contributions.
- Fundraising Campaigns & Events:
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives, both online and offline, to raise awareness and secure donations.
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including donor dinners, auctions, and crowdfunding campaigns.
- Networking & Partnerships:
- Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Cultivate partnerships with local businesses, community leaders, and influencers to increase awareness and funding opportunities.
- Tracking & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of donations, donor communications, and fundraising activities.
- Prepare regular progress reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, or related fields.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns, securing donations, and managing donor relationships.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor management software, and grant application processes.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online fundraising platforms.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
