Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Hostel Block Incharge to manage and supervise a hostel block. The candidate will be responsible for student discipline, safety, cleanliness, daily routines, and coordination with wardens and hostel management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the assigned hostel block
- Ensure student discipline and adherence to hostel rules
- Monitor student attendance, routines, and daily activities
- Coordinate with hostel wardens and support staff for smooth functioning
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel block premises
- Handle student issues, complaints, and provide guidance when required
- Report incidents, emergencies, and disciplinary issues to Hostel Incharge/Management
- Maintain block records, registers, and documentation
- Coordinate with teachers and academic staff for student-related matters
- Ensure proper safety measures and hostel security within the block
Requirements
- Graduation preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in hostel administration / warden role
- Strong leadership, discipline management, and coordination skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle students in a residential campus environment
- Willingness to stay on campus (Residential role)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in CBSE residential school hostel management
- Basic computer knowledge for record keeping and reporting
- Ability to handle emergency situations and student counselling
- Strong monitoring and supervision capability
