Network Engineer Job & Responsibilities
· Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching technologies of 3 to 4 years.
· Thorough knowledge of Networking, OSI Layers
· Thorough knowledge of Network security concepts, secure network design/deployments
· Hands-on experience with working on Firewall, IPS, Security management, Routers, and Switches Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP), Routing Protocols, IP addressing and subnetting, VLANs Experience with firewalls, internet VPNs, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
· Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools.
· CCNA or CCNP certifications is a plus.
· Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes, like, SLA, Change/Release Management.
· Experience in using ticketing tools such as service now, remedy will be an added advantage.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and hardware vendors for repairs, hardware procurement, and maintenance contracts.
