Position Overview
Optics & Allied Engg. Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled MNTR Operator with 1–3 years of experience in precision manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for operating MNTR equipment, ensuring dimensional accuracy, maintaining production quality, and supporting manufacturing activities in accordance with engineering drawings and process specifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
- Operate MNTR machines as per standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Perform machine setup, tooling, and process adjustments to meet production requirements.
- Ensure optimum machine utilization while maintaining quality standards.
Production & Quality
- Manufacture components as per engineering drawings, process sheets, and customer specifications.
- Inspect components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
- Identify defects and report quality issues to the Production Supervisor or Quality team.
- Maintain production output within specified tolerances.
Process Monitoring
- Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or equipment issues.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and support preventive maintenance activities.
- Minimize material wastage and machine downtime.
Documentation
- Maintain daily production records, machine logs, inspection reports, and shift reports.
- Record production quantities, rejection data, and downtime accurately.
- Follow ISO 9001/AS9100 documentation requirements.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Adhere to all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the work area.
- Ensure proper handling of tools, fixtures, and precision components.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and quality enhancement.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / PUC in Mechanical or related technical discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in machine operation within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
