Job Purpose
To assist the Production Supervisor in planning, monitoring, and controlling daily production activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved efficiently and safely.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
- Assist in planning and executing daily production schedules.
- Monitor machine operations and manpower allocation.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the plan.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Report production issues, delays, and machine breakdowns to the Production Supervisor.
Production Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain daily production records and reports.
- Update production status, WIP (Work in Progress), and dispatch readiness.
- Verify job cards, production sheets, and machine output reports.
- Prepare shift-wise and daily production reports.
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor defects, wastage, and rejections.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for corrective actions.
Team Management
- Supervise operators and helpers on the shop floor.
- Guide employees regarding work instructions and production priorities.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Assist in training new employees.
Inventory & Material Control
- Ensure availability of raw materials and packing materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with the Stores Department for material requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the production area.
- Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or near-miss incidents immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Production/Mechanical preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in a Printing & Packaging manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of production planning and shop floor operations.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
