What We Are Looking For
Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
- Ensure timely receipt of order acknowledgements from suppliers for all Purchase Orders (POs) within established turnaround time (TAT) targets and proactively escalate exceptions to minimize supply risks.
- Generate and share weekly open order reports with suppliers, drive closure of pending actions, monitor delivery schedule changes, and maintain accurate order status updates in the ERP system.
- Monitor open purchase orders and supplier commitments, identify potential delays or non-conformances, and coordinate cross-functional actions to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Drive supplier responsiveness and delivery performance through regular communication, follow-up, and issue resolution to support business continuity and customer requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Quality, Finance, Distribution Center (DC), and supplier teams to facilitate timely processing, validation, and booking of supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with internal controls and payment terms.
- Act as the primary liaison with suppliers to resolve quality-related documentation issues, including follow-up on Quality Control (QC) comments and corrective actions associated with certificates and compliance documents.
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier master data within ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and visibility for effective order management and reporting.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections from goods receiving and throughout the production process using a combination of specialist inspection skills (dimensional, paint, welding, surface finish, PMI, visual).
- Conduct final inspections to ensure products meet all specifications and standards.
- Support design reviews to advise inspection lessons learned.
- Attend handover meetings, as required.
- Record internal and supplier non-conformances.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and manage associated documentation.
- Generate and maintain quality documentation, including Notifications of Inspection (NOIs), PMI Packs, and Welding Packs.
- Review and verify material certification and test documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate daily with Third Party Inspection Agencies and Client Inspectors to align inspection activities and resolve issues.
- Support the Quality team with project tasks and documentation requirements.
- Attend internal and external training activities to maintain and enhance competency.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of key product elements, specifications, and standards.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with internal teams, suppliers, third-party inspection agencies, client inspectors, and other external stakeholders.
- Work in accordance with the organisation's quality strategy and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by tracking supplier performance metrics, enhancing procurement processes, ensuring adherence to organisational service level agreements (SLAs), and contributing to local improvement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities :
- Ensure inspection and quality activities are aligned with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
- Maintain adherence to the Global Business Management System (GBMS), ensuring it remains robust and effective.
- Identify risks and apply appropriate mitigation techniques during quality assurance activities.
- Demonstrate accountability for product quality outcomes and ensure continuous improvement in inspection processes.
- Uphold quality performance and compliance through ongoing evaluation and reporting.
