Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Robot Installation Engineer to install, commission, and support industrial robotic systems at customer sites. The candidate will be responsible for robot setup, troubleshooting, integration, and successful project execution while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and validate industrial robots and automation systems.
- Perform robot calibration, setup, and optimization.
- Integrate robots with machines, conveyors, sensors, PLCs, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and programming-related issues.
- Conduct site acceptance tests (SAT) and customer trials.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with design, electrical, and project teams for seamless execution.
- Provide technical support and operator training to customers.
- Prepare installation reports, service records, and technical documentation.
- Travel to customer locations for installation, commissioning, and service support.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial robot installation, commissioning, and automation projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial robots and automation systems.
- Experience in robot installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, pneumatic circuits, and mechanical layouts.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial networking, and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Strong communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India and overseas, if required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with robot brands such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA.
- Experience in robotic welding, material handling, palletizing, machine tending, or assembly applications.
- Exposure to automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation projects.
