Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Quality Control
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Ensure rooms are prepared according to company and brand standards.
- Monitor housekeeping schedules and assign tasks to attendants.
- Conduct regular quality checks and corrective actions where necessary.
Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff.
- Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational updates.
- Monitor employee attendance, grooming, and performance.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment inventory.
- Coordinate with purchasing departments for replenishment needs.
- Ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Minimize wastage and control housekeeping costs.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Train staff on safe handling of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with the engineering team.
- Maintain workplace safety and emergency procedures.
Guest Service
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through high-quality housekeeping services.
- Coordinate with front office and other departments to meet guest requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and housekeeping equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of housekeeping management systems.
