1. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end accounting operations, demonstrate strong working proficiency in Tally Prime, and apply advanced Excel skills to maintain and analyse financial data. Sound communication skills are required to present financial information clearly and to coordinate effectively with our clients across India. The role involves handling multiple client files in a domestic engagement environment, and the candidate is expected to work with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and adherence to statutory timelines.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate, up-to-date books of account in Tally Prime.
2.2 Prepare and analyse financial reports, ledgers and MIS statements extracted from Tally.
2.3 Conduct periodic bank, vendor and customer reconciliations, and monitor and verify financial transactions.
2.4 Generate monthly financial statements and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
2.5 Support statutory, tax and internal audits by compiling schedules, vouchers and explanations.
2.6 Assist in GST and TDS compliance, including data compilation, reconciliation with GSTR-2B and Form 26AS, and support in return preparation and filing.
2.7 Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including ageing analysis and follow-up on outstanding balances.
2.8 Coordinate with internal teams and clients, communicating financial information clearly and professionally.
3. Qualifications and Skills
3.1 Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance; M.Com, CA (Inter) or CMA (Inter) will be preferred.
3.2 Hands-on working proficiency in Tally Prime, covering the accounting, inventory, GST and TDS modules, is mandatory; a Tally certification will be an added advantage.
3.3 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, charts and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
3.4 Working familiarity with the GST portal, TRACES and the Income-tax e-filing portal.
3.5 Clear verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi; ability in the local regional language will be an advantage.
3.6 Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to multitask, prioritise assignments and meet statutory deadlines.
3.7 Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Chartered Accountant's office or a multi-client environment.
