Head – Corporate Relations & Industry Connect
(Leadership Role | Strategic Industry Engagement | Employability & Partnerships)
About the Role
At Fortune Institute of International Business, we are reimagining how business schools prepare students for the future of work.
Over the past few years, FIIB has built a strong future-of-work and career pathways model that integrates AI readiness, industry-led learning, mentorship, experiential projects, and structured employability development into the student journey. Rather than preparing students only for traditional MBA functions, FIIB is actively building pathways into emerging and evolving careers across consulting, analytics, AI-enabled business roles, finance, marketing, operations, HR, and entrepreneurship.
As FIIB enters its next phase of growth — moving from an institution built through entrepreneurial energy into a more scaled and system-driven “1 to 100” journey — industry engagement becomes even more strategic to our future.
We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven, and execution-oriented leader to head our Corporate Relations & Industry Connect function. This role goes far beyond managing placements. The mandate is to help build FIIB’s long-term industry relationship engine by creating meaningful partnerships that strengthen careers, curriculum relevance, experiential learning, institutional visibility, and employer trust.
This role is ideal for someone excited by institution-building, ecosystem creation, and shaping how a future-ready business school connects with the evolving world of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead FIIB’s overall corporate engagement strategy across placements, internships, industry partnerships, mentorship ecosystems, and experiential learning initiatives.
- Build deep and sustained relationships with recruiters, business leaders, founders, alumni, and industry partners across sectors and functions.
- Position FIIB as a long-term talent and knowledge partner rather than a transactional recruitment interface.
- Strengthen internship and placement outcomes while expanding opportunities in emerging and future-oriented career domains.
- Identify evolving hiring trends, recruiter expectations, AI-led role transformations, and industry capability requirements.
- Create stronger industry integration into the student journey through live projects, masterclasses, consulting assignments, mentoring, competitions, certifications, and immersion opportunities.
- Work closely with academic leadership to strengthen curriculum relevance and industry alignment.
- Represent FIIB at corporate forums, networking events, industry platforms, and ecosystem engagements.
- Build structured engagement systems including recruiter pipelines, relationship management frameworks, corporate databases, reporting dashboards, and operating rhythms for the team.
- Collaborate closely with admissions, marketing, alumni relations, student development, and academic teams to strengthen FIIB’s employer brand and career outcomes ecosystem.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the corporate relations team while driving accountability, responsiveness, and relationship quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Thinks strategically but executes with urgency.
- Can build credibility with senior corporate leaders.
- Understands evolving business and talent landscapes.
- Is relationship-oriented, highly proactive, and outcome-focused.
- Can operate effectively in a fast-growing and entrepreneurial environment.
- Is comfortable wearing multiple hats and building systems from evolving structures.
- Believes in education as a transformational ecosystem, not just a transactional process.
Success in This Role Will Be Measured Through
Success in this role will not be defined only through placement numbers, but through the strength and sustainability of industry relationships built for FIIB.
This includes the quality and diversity of recruiter partnerships, the depth of industry engagement across the student lifecycle, the creation of experiential learning opportunities, stronger visibility of FIIB within industry ecosystems, improved student career outcomes, and the development of scalable systems that strengthen long-term institutional capability.
