Summary
UST is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst I with strong expertise in Business Analysis, Healthcare Insurance, Underwriting, SQL, and System Analysis. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirements gathering, solution analysis, system design, and implementation of enterprise healthcare applications. The role requires deep knowledge of healthcare underwriting processes, Agile delivery, API integrations, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to support innovative healthcare insurance solutions.
The Opportunity
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and development teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Analyze healthcare underwriting processes, insurance workflows, and business rules to recommend scalable technology solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Support application design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise healthcare systems.
- Perform business process analysis and identify opportunities for process optimization and digital transformation.
- Validate application functionality through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
- Analyze request/response schemas, JSON payloads, and RESTful API interactions for system integrations.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Support product lifecycle activities from concept through deployment and post-production support.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile environments, participating in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Create and maintain project documentation, process flows, functional specifications, and business requirements documents.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare insurance regulations, underwriting policies, and organizational standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and improving business processes.
What You Need
- 6–9 years of experience in Business Analysis, System Analysis, or Product Management.
- Strong experience in the US Healthcare Insurance domain.
- Deep understanding of Healthcare Underwriting, insurance products, risk assessment, and policy administration.
- Strong expertise in Business Analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational database querying.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and modern data management concepts.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, validation, and defect management.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and application integration workflows.
- Understanding of Microservices Architecture and enterprise system integrations.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with healthcare underwriting platforms and policy administration systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare pricing models, actuarial analysis, and risk management.
- Understanding of digital transformation initiatives within healthcare insurance.
- Familiarity with UX Design principles and customer-centric product development.
- Experience working with cloud-based healthcare applications.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and API-driven architectures.
- Exposure to Healthcare Claims, Membership, Benefits, or Provider Management systems.
- Agile certifications such as CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (PO/PM), or equivalent.
- Healthcare certifications such as AHM (Accredited Healthcare Management) are an added advantage.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in Agile, Product Management, or Healthcare are preferred.
- 6–9 years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Product Management.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise healthcare insurance solutions.
- Experience working with Agile teams in large-scale enterprise environments.
