- An AIX Linux admin is responsible for managing and maintaining AIX Linux systems
- An AIX Linux administrator is responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of systems running AIX OS
- Ensuring the high availability of AIX Linux operating system
- Administer and support AIX and Linux servers RHEL CentOS SUSE
- Perform installation configuration patching and upgrades of OS and related tools
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal uptime
- Manage user access file systems and security policies
- Handle LVM file system management and disk administration
- Support backup and recovery operations
- Work on server hardening and vulnerability remediation
- Coordinate with application teams for deployments and issue resolution
- Maintain documentation and follow ITIL based processes incident change management
- Strong experience in AIX and Linux system administration
- Knowledge of shell scripting KSH Bash
- Understanding of networking concepts TCP IP DNS NFS
- Experience with virtualization LPARs VIOS for AIX
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and system logs analysis
- Exposure to backup tools and disaster recovery practices
- Basic understanding of security compliance and patch management
