Job Description – Civil Engineer
Bharat Oil & Waste Management Ltd. is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Civil Engineer to oversee and manage civil construction activities for industrial and environmental infrastructure projects at our Roorkee facility. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in execution, supervision, and project management of industrial and infrastructure works.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Supervision
- Plan, supervise, and execute all civil construction activities at site.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Verify measurements, bills, and work completion reports.
Civil Construction Projects
The selected candidate will be responsible for execution and maintenance of:
- Civil Works Construction
- Drainage Systems
- Residential Quarters
- Industrial Sheds
- River Bank Protection using Gabions, Steel Piles, RCC C-Shaped Walls, etc.
- Internal Roads
- Secured Landfill Construction, Operation, and Closure/Capping as per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) Guidelines
- Leachate Ponds
- Storm Water Ponds
- Boundary Walls
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure construction quality as per IS codes, project standards, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with government authorities and consultants for approvals and inspections.
Planning & Cost Control
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Monitor material consumption and control project costs.
- Review contractor bills and certify quantities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily progress reports, site records, and material reconciliation.
- Prepare MIS reports and project updates for management.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in industrial construction, infrastructure, or environmental engineering projects.
- Experience in hazardous waste management facilities, landfills, or environmental infrastructure will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Expertise in industrial and infrastructure construction.
- Knowledge of CPCB guidelines for secured landfill construction and closure.
- Strong understanding of RCC structures, drainage, roads, and protective structures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong project management and contractor coordination skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
