- Drafting & Modeling: Convert initial design concepts, verbal instructions, and rough sketches into highly detailed 2D and 3D blueprints using AutoCAD. [1, 2]
- Collaboration: Work directly with project managers, civil engineers, and architects to clarify design specifications and resolve discrepancies. [1, 2]
- Revisions & Updates: Modify existing drawings to accommodate structural changes, equipment modifications, or new project requirements. [1, 2]
- Compliance & Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to verify dimensions and ensure all drawings align with engineering principles, industry standards, and local building codes. [1, 2, 3]
- Documentation: Prepare related technical documents such as bills of materials, cost estimates, and drawing library databases. [1, 2]
Key Requirements & Skills
- Software Proficiency: Extensive experience using AutoCAD; familiarity with programs like SolidWorks or Revit is highly advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or architectural principles, as well as blueprint reading.
