Job Purpose
To lead and control the complete packaging production operation for hand tools such as spanners, adjustable wrenches, pliers and other forged tools, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, manpower efficiency, cost control and timely dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and control daily, weekly and monthly packaging production as per dispatch and customer requirements.
- Manage complete packaging operations including sorting, inspection, counting, labeling, packing, cartonization and final dispatch preparation.
- Allocate manpower effectively and monitor productivity of packaging lines.
- Ensure packing is carried out as per approved packing specifications, customer requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC, Stores and Dispatch for uninterrupted material flow.
- Ensure availability and optimum utilization of cartons, polybags, labels, sleeves, tapes and other packaging materials.
- Monitor packaging rejection, rework, wastage and product mix-up and take corrective action.
- Ensure proper identification, segregation and FIFO of finished goods.
- Develop and implement methods to improve packing productivity and reduce packaging cost.
- Monitor packaging line performance, downtime and bottlenecks and coordinate with Maintenance for corrective action.
- Ensure safe handling and stacking of finished hand tools to prevent scratches, rust, damage and mix-up.
- Train, guide and evaluate supervisors and packaging operators.
- Ensure 5S, housekeeping, discipline and safety compliance in the packaging area.
- Maintain accurate daily production, manpower, rejection, wastage and efficiency reports.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely completion of packaging against production and dispatch schedules.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / Graduate preferred.
- Experience: 6–10 years in packaging/production, preferably in hand tools
- Strong experience in handling large shop-floor manpower and production targets.

- Good knowledge of packaging materials and packing specifications.

- MS Excel and production MIS reporting.

Preferred: Candidates having experience in a hand tool/forging manufacturing company will be given preference.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
