2D Animation Artist Intern — Frame-by-Frame | Remote
Mostly Animated is a 2D animation studio working on an original animation project. We are looking for 2 Animation Artist Interns who are interested in traditional hand-drawn, frame-by-frame 2D animation and want to build their portfolio through real production experience.
Internship Details
- Position: 2D Animation Artist Intern
- Duration: 3 months
- Location: Remote
- Stipend: ₹1000/month ( One Thousand Rupees per Month )
- Work: Hand-drawn, frame-by-frame 2D animation
- Team: You will work as part of a small animation team alongside another animator and an Animation Lead
What You'll Work On
- Frame-by-frame character animation
- Rough animation and in-betweening
- Character movement and acting
- Basic cleanup
- Following animation references and direction
- Working on assigned shots from an original animation project
- Taking feedback and making revisions
You will NOT be expected to create the entire film yourself. The project will be divided between multiple team members, with individual shots assigned according to skill level and progress.
Who We're Looking For
This internship is particularly suitable for animation students, recent graduates, and emerging artists who want to build their portfolio through real production experience.
You should:
- Have basic drawing and character-drawing skills
- Understand the fundamentals of 2D animation
- Be interested in hand-drawn/frame-by-frame animation
- Be willing to learn and improve through feedback
- Be able to work consistently and meet assigned deadlines
- Have a genuine interest in traditional 2D animation
Previous professional experience is not required.
Important
This is a team-based internship, not a freelance/project-based position.
You will work on assigned shots, not the entire animation independently. The goal is to give emerging animators practical production experience while building a finished original project.
Applicants looking to independently produce the complete animation should not apply.
