Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Costing Manager to manage manufacturing costing, cost analysis, budgeting, inventory valuation, variance analysis and MIS reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Costing / Cost Management within a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working closely with Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain product costing, BOM costing and standard costing.
- Analyze raw material, packing material, labour and manufacturing overhead costs.
- Monitor actual production costs and conduct monthly cost variance analysis.
- Calculate manufacturing cost per unit and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor inventory valuation, stock movement, wastage, scrap and material consumption.
- Ensure accurate valuation of Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods.
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase and Production for inventory reconciliation and physical stock audits.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting and analyze Budget vs. Actual performance.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly MIS and management reports.
- Monitor machine utilization, production efficiency, labour productivity and conversion costs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Support month-end/year-end costing activities and internal/external audits.
- Identify and implement cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
- Support ERP implementation, system migration and automation of costing processes.
Required Experience
- Relevant experience in Costing / Cost Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cost Analysis, Budgeting, Inventory Costing, Standard Costing and MIS Reporting.
- Practical experience in factory operations and manufacturing costing will be preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems is required; ERP implementation/process improvement experience will be an advantage.
- Experience in team handling and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong command of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot and advanced formulas.

- Candidates willing to relocate near our factory location at Lonand MIDC, Satara, Maharashtra will be preferred, as the role requires regular factory-level coordination and operational support.
