Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of post-graduate experience in Automotive Crash & Safety CAE simulations. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in crashworthiness and occupant safety analysis using LS-DYNA, along with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams. The role involves supporting vehicle development programs through advanced simulation-driven design and optimization activities.
Key Responsibilities

Perform CAE simulations related to vehicle crashworthiness, occupant safety, and structural integrity using LS-DYNA.

Develop, set up, execute, and evaluate crash and safety simulation models for regulatory, consumer, and internal performance requirements.

Create and maintain high-quality finite element models, including preprocessing, model assembly, load case definition, and boundary condition application.

Analyze simulation results, identify failure modes, and recommend design improvements to enhance crash performance.

Support structural optimization activities to achieve safety targets while balancing weight, cost, and manufacturability requirements.

Correlate CAE simulation results with physical crash test data and contribute to model validation and accuracy improvement initiatives.

Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering recommendations for internal and customer reviews.

Regularly engage with customers to discuss project status, provide updates, ensure timely deliveries, and adhere to project timelines.

Manage the day-to-day execution of the project independently, prepare for review meetings at key stages, and ensure deadlines are met effectively

Contribute to CAE process standardization, methodology development, and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications

M. Tech in ME / MTech in Design/Mechanical/Automobile/CAD-CAM
-
3–5 years of hands-on experience in Automotive Crash & Safety CAE simulations.

Strong proficiency in LS-DYNA for crash and safety analysis, including model setup, solver execution, debugging, and result interpretation.

Experience in finite element modelling, meshing, material characterization, contact definitions, and crash analysis methodologies.

Proficiency in pre- and post-processing tools such as HyperMesh, ANSA, META, HyperView, or equivalent.

Good understanding of vehicle crashworthiness, impact mechanics, occupant protection, and automotive safety regulations.

Experience in validation and correlation of CAE models with physical test results.
