Job Title: Class 2 Teacher
Role OverviewWe are looking for a creative, patient, and energetic Class 2 Teacher to join our primary school team. You will help young learners transition from early primary education into more structured learning. Your goal is to build strong fundamental skills in literacy and numeracy while encouraging a love for school.Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Lesson Planning: Design and teach daily lessons in English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies aligned with school curriculum standards.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, orderly, and engaging learning atmosphere where children feel safe and respected.
- Student Assessment: Track academic and social progress, grade assignments, and prepare regular report cards or progress updates.
- Parent Communication: Update parents and guardians regularly on student performance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Individualized Support: Identify learning gaps early and provide extra help or modified activities for students who need extra support.
- Co-curricular Participation: Supervise students during breaks, assemblies, and school activities or field trips. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject with a recognized teaching certification/credential (B.Ed. or equivalent). [1, 2]
- Experience: Proven experience working as an elementary or primary school teacher (Class 1 to Class 3 preferred).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage young children and converse professionally with parents. [1]
