Position Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Trainer / Lecturer with a strong foundation in Computer Science and hands-on programming and scripting expertise, particularly in Java. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and lectures, mentoring learners, and building their practical and conceptual skills to industry standards. The role suits an educator who combines solid technical depth with a genuine passion for teaching and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, structured learning.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver structured lectures, training sessions, and hands-on labs on Computer Science fundamentals and programming.

Teach core Java programming and scripting concepts, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and problem-solving techniques.

Develop and maintain course material, lesson plans, assignments, coding exercises, and assessments aligned to learning objectives.

Conduct practical coding sessions, review learner code, and provide constructive feedback to strengthen programming ability.

Design and evaluate tests, projects, and assessments to measure learner progress and knowledge retention.

Mentor and support learners individually, addressing doubts and adapting delivery to different learning levels.

Keep course content current with evolving industry practices, tools, and technologies.

Track and report learner performance, attendance, and progress to the L&D / Training lead.

Maintain a disciplined, engaging, and professional classroom / training environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of proven teaching, lecturing, or corporate training experience in Computer Science / programming.

Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals – programming logic, data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts.

Hands-on proficiency in Java programming and scripting, with the ability to write, explain, and debug code live.

Ability to break down complex technical topics into clear, structured, and engaging lessons.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational skills to manage curriculum, schedules, and assessments.
Preferred / Desirable

Working knowledge of additional languages / scripting such as JavaScript, Python, or SQL.

Exposure to web technologies, databases, or software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Prior experience designing curriculum, question banks, or assessment frameworks.
