Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, shape, and assemble galvanized iron (GI), pre-insulated (PI), and flexible ducts based on engineering shop drawings.
- Installation: Install supply, return, fresh air, and exhaust ducting along with necessary diffusers, grilles, and fire dampers.
- Insulation: Perform thermal and acoustic insulation on ductwork to prevent energy loss and reduce noise.
- Testing & Sealing: Seal duct joints to prevent air leakage, and test systems for pressure and proper airflow distribution.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Inspect ducts for blockages, leaks, or mold, and clean or repair them to maintain optimal indoor air quality.
- Compliance: Ensure all duct installations comply with local building codes, safety rules, and project specifications.
Core Requirements
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using sheet metal tools, measuring instruments, and reading blueprints.
- Knowledge: Understanding of psychrometrics, airflow dynamics, and HVAC standards.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in confined spaces, at high elevations, and in varying temperature conditions.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
