The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines efficiently while ensuring adherence to production targets, quality standards, safety norms, and process compliance. The role also supports machine utilization, preventive practices, and continuous improvement initiatives in line with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Operations
- Perform job setting for castings as per production requirements.
- Operate CNC machines in accordance with approved process sheets and work instructions.
- Achieve shift-wise production targets with minimal downtime.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of components.
- Support activities to maximize machine utilization and productivity.
2. Process & Quality Control
- Follow machining parameters and process sheets without deviation.
- Conduct in-process inspections as per quality standards.
- Maintain and record inspection data accurately.
- Identify and escalate quality issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure machined components meet drawing specifications and tolerances.
3. Machine & Tool Management
- Maintain machine logbooks and daily production records.
- Update machine loading charts and check sheets.
- Handle cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and templates properly.
- Ensure machines and tools remain in good working condition.
- Report any abnormalities or breakdowns immediately.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
- Update ERP systems and machine-related records as required.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and company documentation standards.
5. Safety, 5S & EHS Compliance
- Adhere strictly to EHS guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area.
- Ensure safe handling and operation of machines.
- Support the organization’s Zero Accident objective.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Kaizen and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to waste reduction and cost-saving activities.
- Suggest improvements to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
Experience & Exposure
- Experience in machining castings in a production environment.
- Exposure to CNC Turning Centres and Machining Centres.
- Understanding of machining processes and production workflows.
- Familiarity with jigs, fixtures, templates, and cutting tools.
- Experience in maintaining production and inspection records.
- Knowledge of quality inspection methods and measuring instruments.

- Awareness of ISO standards, 5S methodology, and EHS practices.
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
