Mpac is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Support team. Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing our world-class automated packaging equipment across India.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the technical expert supporting Mpac equipment throughout its lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnose, repair, modify, rebuild, and debug Mpac equipment both on-site and at customer facilities.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

Provide technical troubleshooting support and root-cause analysis.

Deliver remote and over-the-phone support to customers as required.

Recommend equipment upgrades, improvements, and replacement parts to enhance machine performance and reliability.

Support machine installation, commissioning, start-up, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).

Work closely with Project Managers, customers, and local contractors during project execution.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with customer requirements, engineering drawings, and Mpac quality standards.

Document field modifications and provide marked-up drawings for engineering updates.

Complete service reports, activity reports, and expense reports accurately and on time.

Assist with training materials, job aids, machine manuals, and technical documentation.

Identify and report quality issues while promoting continuous improvement across the business.

Act as a professional ambassador for Mpac at customer locations.

Provide technical guidance and training to customer teams.

Conduct follow-up visits to improve productivity and optimize equipment performance.

Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read and interpret:

Mechanical assembly drawings
-
Electrical schematics
-
Pneumatic diagrams
-
Hands-on experience with:

Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs
-
Servo motion control systems
-
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

Valid driver's licence with no restrictions.

Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
-
Millwright certification.
-
Experience programming servo systems.

Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and Lenze motion control systems.

Experience with robotics and robotic applications.

Knowledge of root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
This is a customer-facing role requiring significant international travel throughout India.
You must be:

Comfortable travelling up to 65-70% of the time

Available to travel at short notice when required

Eligible to rent and drive vehicles internationally without restrictions
