Role Description:
- The Project Manager (Trans & Queer Shelter Home) is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic management of a shelter home serving trans and queer individuals.
- This role includes planning and coordinating shelter activities, supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring residents have access to safe housing, support services, and referral networks.
- The Project Manager will manage logistics related to supplies, maintenance, and scheduling; monitor project timelines and budgets; and prepare regular reports for organizational leadership and funders.
- The position involves close collaboration with community partners, local authorities, and service providers to strengthen support systems, as well as conducting periodic inspections to maintain safety, quality, and compliance with organizational standards.
- The Project Manager is expected to foster an inclusive, trauma-informed environment and respond to resident needs with sensitivity, respect, and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Management, Community Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project management or shelter home/community-based programs.
- Experience working with LGBTQIA+ communities or other marginalized groups is preferred.
- Strong project planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of logistics, procurement, inventory, and operational management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed, rights-based, and gender-inclusive approaches.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, documentation, and report writing.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel as required.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
