Position: Business Development Associate Company: Shrimply (Farm-to-Door Fresh Seafood) Location: Bengaluru Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 0-3 years
ABOUT SHRIMPLY
Shrimply is disrupting the fresh seafood market in Bengaluru. We work directly with farms to deliver seafood within 24 hours — zero middlemen, peak freshness, competitive pricing.
Current Status: 2 months in, growing 30-40% week-on-week, expanding to new communities.
THE ROLE
As a Business Development Associate, you'll own growth strategies that get Shrimply into more homes. You're not just executing — you're building the playbook as we scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Community & Residential Expansion
- Map high-income residential areas in Bengaluru and design sales strtategies
- Build relationships with apartment communities and society admins
- Pitch Shrimply to residents
- Execute successful penetration in 2-3 new societies per month
2. Business Metrics & Growth Tracking
- Maintain monthly growth targets (customer acquisition, revenue)
- Track CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) by channel
- Forecast revenue and identify growth levers
- Present weekly/monthly performance to founders
3. Strategic Initiatives
- Research subscription/membership models
- Propose scalable growth channels
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Must Have:
- 0-3 years experience in sales, business development, or entrepreneurship
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Speaking fluency in atleast 2 languages ( preferable kannada/malayalam/hindi )apart from english.
- Comfort with data and spreadsheets (Excel basics)
- Ability to build relationships and close deals
- Self-motivated; can work with minimal supervision
- Mobile phone + vehicle (bike/car) for field visits
Nice to Have:
- Experience in F&B, food tech, or FMCG
- Knowledge of Bengaluru geography and communities
- Previous successful sales/business development results
Personality:
- Problem solver (not just executor)
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Results-driven, not process-driven
- Humble, coachable, willing to learn fast
- Hustle mentality (early stage = you do what it takes)
COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES
Fixed: ₹10,000-15,000/month (Depends on experience and proven track record)
Variable Incentives:
- ₹1000 per new residential community opened
- ₹1000 for every x no. of orders. ( will be decided on the go)
Real Earning Potential:
- Month 1-2: ₹10-15k fixed + ₹2-5k incentives
- Month 3+: ₹16-20k fixed + ₹5-15k+ incentives (based on performance)
- Top performance (6 months): ₹25-35k/month all-in
