About the Role
Maxx Hypermarket is a new 8,000 sq.ft retail hypermarket launching at Ambalathara Junction, Trivandrum. We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations from the ground up — someone who can own the floor, manage the team, and drive sales discipline from Day 1.
This role reports directly to the business owner. You will be the operational backbone of the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations across all product categories
- Lead, schedule, and hold accountable a team of 25–30 staff
- Monitor sales targets, shrinkage, and stock movement daily
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment and credit management
- Ensure billing accuracy, cash reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting
- Enforce store SOPs, hygiene standards, and customer service norms
- Assist in pre-opening setup, planogram execution, and staff onboarding
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail store management (supermarket, hypermarket, or FMCG retail preferred)
- Proven ability to manage a large floor team independently
- Strong grip on inventory, billing systems, and cash management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-footfall environment
- Fluent in Malayalam; basic English communication is an advantage
- Willing to work 6 days/week including weekends and festive seasons
Salary: ₹20,000 to ₹35,000. Based on experience and interview performance. Competitive for the role.
