Job Overview
The House of Makeba is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to manage and coordinate daily dispatch operations, order scheduling, delivery tracking, and logistics support. The ideal candidate should have strong coordination skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience in handling dispatch documentation and communication with delivery teams/vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations and delivery schedules
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods/materials/orders
- Prepare and maintain dispatch documentation, invoices, challans, and records
- Track deliveries and update dispatch status regularly
- Coordinate with warehouse, store, operations, and logistics teams
- Handle communication with drivers, vendors, and transport partners
- Resolve dispatch-related issues and delivery delays promptly
- Maintain proper dispatch logs and reporting systems
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational standards
- Monitor dispatch timelines and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, warehouse, or coordination roles
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Basic knowledge of logistics and dispatch processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer operations
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
