A Consultant Dermatologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. The role involves providing expert clinical care, performing medical and cosmetic dermatological procedures, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, and skin cancers
- Conduct detailed patient consultations, including medical history and skin examination
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform dermatological procedures, including:
- Skin biopsies
- Cryotherapy
- Electrocautery
- Laser treatments
- Minor surgical procedures
- Provide cosmetic dermatology services (if applicable), such as:
- Chemical peels
- Laser therapy
- Anti-aging treatments
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Educate patients on skincare, preventive care, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, hygiene standards, and legal regulations
- Supervise junior doctors, nurses, or technicians (if required)
- Stay updated with advancements in dermatology and attend relevant conferences/workshops
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- MD/DNB in Dermatology (or equivalent specialization)
- Valid medical registration/license
- Fellowship or certification in dermatology or cosmetology (preferred)
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
