Job Summary
The Arabic Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, and presenting authentic Arabic and Middle Eastern pastries, desserts, and bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of traditional Arabic desserts and pastries such as Baklava, Kunafa, Basbousa, Maamoul other regional specialties.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Prepare doughs, fillings, syrups, creams, and other ingredients according to standardized recipes.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and production schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Minimize food wastage and control production costs.
- Assist in developing new Arabic dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
- Train and support junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.
- Follow company policies, HACCP standards, and health & safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Arabic and Middle Eastern pastry preparation.
- Expertise in pastry baking techniques and dessert presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Bakery & Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
- Relevant experience as an Arabic Pastry Chef, Pastry Cook, or Baker.
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, bakeries, catering operations, or Middle Eastern cuisine establishments preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Arabic pastry production.
- Experience preparing traditional Middle Eastern desserts and sweets
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
