The Logistics & Fleet Operations Executivewill be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end transportation lifecycle for both primary and secondary movements across multiple brands. This role demands a strategic yet hands-on leader who can optimize company-owned vehicles, manage and allocate attached/market fleets, ensure flawless load alignment, and guarantee safe, on-time delivery. The ultimate goal is to maximize vehicle utilization, minimize transit risks, and ensure 100% compliance with Proof of Delivery (POD) collection.
Key Responsibilities1. Fleet & Resource Allocation
- Asset Maximization: Manage daily scheduling and routing for all company-owned vehicles to ensure maximum capacity utilization.
- Vendor & Attached Fleet Management: Source, assign, and manage attached/market fleets to handle overflow loads and meet the fluctuating demands of multiple brands.
- Cost Optimization: Balance the mix of company vehicles and attached fleets to achieve the most cost-effective transportation model per trip.
2. Load Optimization & Dispatched Operations
- Multi-Brand Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for multiple brands, understanding their specific indentation (load) requirements and timelines.
- Load Planning: Ensure correct vehicle-to-load alignment (matching the right truck size and type to the specific material weight and volume).
- Secondary Movement Support: Oversee the transition from primary hubs to secondary distribution points, ensuring seamless last-mile alignment.
3. Transit, Safety & Delivery Compliance
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure all loading practices comply with safety standards to prevent material damage during transit.
- Real-time Tracking: Monitor en-route vehicles, proactively addressing delays, breakdowns, or route diversions.
- TAT Management: Maintain strict adherence to Turnaround Time (TAT) for loading, transit, and unloading.
4. Documentation & Closure
- POD Management: Own the end-to-end Proof of Delivery (POD) process. Ensure acknowledgement copies are collected, verified, and processed without discrepancies to facilitate smooth billing.
- Compliance: Ensure all fleet vehicles (owned and attached) carry valid legal documentation (permits, insurance, fitness certificates).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years in logistics operations, fleet management, or transport coordination (experience handling multi-brand or 3PL environments is highly preferred).
- Operations Savvy: Deep understanding of both Primary (long-haul) and Secondary (distribution)transportation dynamics.
- Tech Literacy: Experience working with Transport Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking software, and Excel for data logging.
- Negotiation & Communication: Strong skills in managing third-party fleet vendors and communicating effectively with corporate brand clients.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think on your feet when a truck breaks down, a driver goes missing, or a load is delayed.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
