Job Title: Cutting & Crimping Supervisor

Reporting To: Production Manager
Job Summary:
The Cutting & Crimping Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities in the Cutting & Crimping section, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and manpower utilization are achieved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily cutting and crimping operations to achieve production targets.
- Allocate manpower and monitor attendance, productivity, and shift performance.
- Ensure compliance with work instructions, quality standards, and process parameters.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and material wastage through process control.
- Verify first-off approvals and ensure periodic quality inspections are conducted.
- Maintain production reports, rejection records, and hourly output reports.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, and safety practices in the department.
- Train and guide operators on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, and Quality departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor tool, die, and crimp applicator condition and ensure timely replacement/calibration.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and discipline on the shop floor.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of wire cutting and crimping machines (Komax, Schleuniger, etc. if applicable)
- Understanding of wiring harness manufacturing processes
- Ability to read production drawings and work instructions
- Team handling and leadership skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Systems
Qualification:
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or relevant field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Cutting & Crimping operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
