Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity estimation, cost planning, billing, and contract administration for residential construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction methodologies, BOQs, rate analysis, and project cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Quantity Take-Offs (QTO) from drawings.
- Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Estimate project costs and prepare budgets.
- Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour, and subcontract works.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor bills.
- Monitor project costs and ensure work is completed within budget.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and site engineers.
- Prepare tender documents and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Track material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Prepare cost comparison statements and procurement recommendations.
- Assist in contract administration, variation orders, and final account settlement.
- Maintain project documentation and MIS reports.
- Support project planning and cash flow forecasting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, billing, and cost control.
- Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and market rates.
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- MS Office
- ERP software (preferred)
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in apartment or residential building projects.
- Knowledge of tendering and procurement.
- Familiarity with project scheduling and cost monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
